eliptus were engaged to create a brand identity that recognises the personal and professional style of Stalking Horse’s founding director.

When undertaking the naming process we took inspiration from our clients reputation for quietly identifying market opportunities and moving decisively to capitalise on them.

The phrase Stalking Horse is originally derived from the practice of hunting, where a horse would be used as a mobile hide so as not to alert the prey.

In the modern context it is boardroom jargon for a covert business action and was a natural fit for our client.

The resulting marque is both literal and interpretive providing a highly stylish and uniquely memorable identity system.
